ANN ARBOR — The University of Michigan football team’s game at Minnesota on Oct. 31 will be featured in primetime, the Big Ten Conference announced Thursday.
The game will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The start time for the conference matchup from TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is 8 p.m.
It marks the second scheduled night game for the Wolverines in 2015. The Big Ten Network (BTN) previously announced that U-M’s game at Maryland will be played in primetime on Saturday, Oct. 3.
With primetime selections through the networks and Big Ten Conference office now complete, Michigan will not host a night game this season at Michigan Stadium. Kickoff times for the remainder of the 2015 season will be announced in coordination with those partners.
The Wolverines and Golden Gophers have met 101 times on the gridiron, with U-M holding a 73-25-3 series advantage. Minnesota defeated U-M last season at the Big House, 30-14, snapping Michigan’s six-game winning streak in the series. The Wolverines will return to TCF Bank Stadium for the first time since 2012, a 35-13 win at Minnesota’s outdoor on-campus stadium. The two Big Ten rivals have faced 46 times previously in Minnesota, with Michigan holding a 32-12-2 advantage in those contests. Overall, the Wolverines have won 15-straight games at Minnesota dating back to 1977.
