Former Berrien County prosecutor joins law firm

Kelly Travis, former assistant prosecuting attorney in Berrien County, has joined Kotz Sangster Wysocki P.C. in the firm’s Niles office.
Travis is a graduate of Indiana University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Kelley School of Business. She earned her law degree from the Valparaiso School of Law (cum laude) where she was a member of the moot court and mock trial teams.
Travis is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan and Indiana.

Travis has 15 years of trial, motion practice and litigation experience.
She prides herself on a reputation of fair yet aggressive advocacy for the matters she handles.
Her extensive courtroom experience now focuses on general litigation in the areas of domestic relations, contested probate matters, general civil litigation, real estate, estate planning and criminal law (ranging from minor offenses to more complex white collar crimes).
Travis is active in the local community of Southwest Michigan, having served as a volunteer for Junior Achievement, the H.O.S.T.S. Program, St. Mary’s Parish Advisory Council and Upward Soccer. She has served on the board (including serving as president) of such organizations as St. Mary’s School and Gateway.
