THREE RIVERS — A pair of Wolverine Conference teams squared off in the Division 2 Team District semifinals at Three Rivers High School Wednesday.

Edwardsburg came out on the short end of a 35-30 decision to the league’s newest member, Sturgis.

The Trojans opened up a 25-0 advantage on the Eddies before holding on for the victory.

Coldwater defeated Sturgis in the championship match after ousting host Three Rivers in the semifinals.

The Cardinals will face Vicksburg in one semifinal at the Gull Lake regional Wednesday. Niles will face Parma-Western in the other semifinal.

LAWTON — The No. 4-ranked Lawton Blue Devils were too much for outmanned Cassopolis in the Division 4 Team District semifinals Wednesday.

Lawton advanced to the Decatur regional with a 64-15 win over the Rangers.
