Alex Swem and Alex Martinez both scored two goals at Buchanan blanked visiting Cassopolis 7-0 in the BCS Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

Also scoring for the Bucks were Cade Vargo, Chris Wentworth and Triston Lee.

“Tonight, I thought we played extremely well as a team,” Buchanan coach Ryan Catalano said. “We moved the ball very well and worked as a unit to control the game. My senior captains really stepped up tonight and were great leaders on the field. We still have things to work on as a team, but are moving in a great direction to be one of the tougher teams in the conference.”
