Rangers hold off Brandywine 56-48

Visiting Cassopolis wrapped up its Lakeland Conference season with a 56-48 win over Brandywine Tuesday night.
The Rangers grabbed a 12-9 first quarter lead and then built on it throughout the contest.
Cassopolis (9-8, 2-4 Lakeland) led 34-20 at halftime.
The Bobcats, who finished the league season winless, spent the second half trying to rally. Brandywine cut the lead to 45-36 heading into the final quarter, but was unable to erase the halftime deficit.
Noah Woods had 10 points for the Rangers, who also got nine points from Brandon Glover.
The Bobcats (6-13, 0-6 Lakeland) were led by Austin Knapp’s game-high 19 points. Zach Schmidt added 10.
