Ashley Hannapel, of Dowagiac, is announcing her engagement to Benjamen Bournay, of Dowagiac.

Ashley is the daughter of Jodi and David Hannapel, and the granddaughter of Jerald and Herbertine Hannapel and Clayton and Shirley Wiker.

Benjamin is the son of Judith and Frederick Bournay, and the grandson of Frederick and Yvonne Bournay and John and Shirley Janssen.

Ashley and Benjamin both attended Lake Michigan Catholic High School. Ashley graduated in 2009 and Benjamin graduated in 2010.

Ashley continued her studies at St. Mary’s College where she received a degree in elementary education in 2013. She is now a third grade teacher.

Benjamin graduates from Holy Cross College this year. He studies business, communications and liberal studies. He is currently a salesman.

Benjamin will marry Ashley on June 28, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
