WATERVLIET – The Cassopolis soccer team advanced to the Division 4 District semifinals Wednesday with a 3-0 victory over host Watervliet Grace Christian Monday.

The Rangers’ Cameron Hayden had a goal and two assists to help Cassopolis advance to face Lakeland Conference foe Bridgman at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Garrett Green scored what turned out to be the game-winner in the 15th minute off an assist from Hayden.

Leading 1-0 heading into the second half, Jordan Edwards made it 2-0 in the 45th minute, with Hayden again picking up the assist. Hayden found the back of the net in the 52nd minute to cap the scoring off an assist by Dylan Armstrong.
