BRIDGMAN — Host Bridgman swept the Lakeland Conference cross country championships at Lake Township Park Monday.

The Bees defeated Brandywine 24-38 to capture the team championship. Buchanan was third with 70 points and Cassopolis fourth with 96.

Bridgman’s Cameron Bredice was the overall boys champioN with a time of 16:31. Brandywine’s Michael Robbins finished second with a time of 17:37.

The Bees had no trouble winning the girls title as they finished with 28 points. Buchanan was second with 45 and Cassopolis third with 55. Brandywine finished fourth with 78 points.

Mary Wheeler was the conference champion as the Bridgman runner posted a time of 21:13. Buchanan’s Brooke Wesner was the runner-up with a time of 22:41.
