Hospital training babysitters

Potential babysitters and parents considering hiring one can receive babysitter lessons and safety training, courtesy of Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
The BLAST! program (Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training) is for those ages 13 and older and their parents, as well as parents looking to hire a babysitter.
This training program takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24, at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
BLAST! Provides extensive training in child development, pediatric first aid, household safety and the fundamentals of child care.
Program features include current practices for safety and injury prevention while babysitting; first-aid basics for emergency response; quick reference tools for babysitters; and fun, easy-to-follow babysitting booklet.
Space to attend BLAST! is limited. The course fee is $25, and lunch and a workbook will be provided. Forms to register must be picked up by Monda in the Education Department at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
