CASSOPOLIS — Meagan Ruff scored a pair of goals, while Janae Butts had a goal and an assist as host Cassopolis blanked Brandywine 5-0 in the opening round of the Division 4 District Soccer Tournament Tuesday.

Ruff opened the scoring in the 10th minute and capped the four-goal first half with a goal in the 30th minute.

Butts scored in the 28th minute off an assist by Jaleesa Garner. The two switched places for the final Cassopolis goal of the night as Garner score in the 72nd minute off an assist from Butts.

The Rangers held a commanding 34-2 advantage in shots on goal in the match.
