There’s a lot going on at downtown Niles’ newest business, Cutting Edge.

Co-owner Robert D. Barringer will tell you it’s a one-stop shop.

“We’ve got everything you need here, and, if we don’t have it, we can get it quick,” Barringer said. “Better quality equals better business.”

Cutting Edge, 205 E. Main St., wears a lot of hats. It’s a swap shop, where customers can buy and sell used merchandise from jewelry to electronics to tools.

It’s also a place to find a full line of cell phone accessories, from cases to chargers to pre-paid service through Page Plus.

Customers can also expect to find a wide variety of audio equipment and accessories for the home, car and, yes, even your motorcycle.

Cutting Edge will install audio equipment as Barringer worked for many years as an audio installation expert for a large electronics retailer.

Cutting Edge also offers computer repair, service and upgrades.

“Why go to the mall? We are right here local,” said Barringer, who runs the shop with his friend and Niles resident, Michael Little.

Little said they chose downtown Niles because they want to connect with customers on a personal level.

Even if you buy a product somewhere else but have a question about it, Little said bring it to Cutting Edge.

“We are all about person-to-person contact,” he said. “ Anybody that walks through that door isn’t just a potential customer, it’s a potential friend. That’s what we are about.”

Cutting Edge is open Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It’s closed Sunday.
