Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announced Friday that on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m., detectives conducted a search of a residence in the 13000 block of Carter Lake Street in Porter Township near Union.

A search of the property resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, illegal prescription drugs, methamphetamine lab components and firearms.

Blayne Wolf, 47, and Barbara Balentine, 52, were at the residence when the search was conducted and were taken into custody.

Wolf and Balentine were arraigned in Fourth District Court on Friday.

Each was being held on a $60,000 bond for 10 counts of narcotics and firearms-related charges.

This is an ongoing investigation.
