Neil Jacobs plays at Box Factory for the Arts

World 12-string guitarist Neil Jacobs, of Grand Haven, returns to the Box Factory for the Arts stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. With his own style of playing that the St Louis Riverfront Times describes as “mesmerizing” and the Austin Chronicle describes as “the rockin’est since early Leo Kottke,” Jacobs touches on music as diverse and varied as gypsy, World, Balkan folk, jazz and finger-style guitar, while maintaining a refreshing and energetic style of playing. Opening for Jacobs will be the popular local trio, Cameo.
A self-taught musician, Jacobs draws inspiration from his world travels and experiences. His most recent focus includes the gypsy music of Eastern Europe and the Balkans, showcased in his third CD “American Gypsy.”
Tickets are $10 general admission; $8 for seniors and students; children 12 and under admitted free
