Wine, chocolate and art come together at the Silver Beach Hotel Art of Wine and Chocolate festival on from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
There will be live entertainment by Kalamazoo singer and songstress Megan Dooly and actor/singer Jonathon Cross, area artists and jewelry designers will have Valentines gifts for sale and eight regional wines will be featured, including tastings of ports, ice wines, dessert wines, mulled warm spiced wines and sparkling nonalcoholic wines. Area chocolate artist will be selling truffles; there will be chocolate to sample as well as a beautiful chocolate fondue fountain.
Also included in admission will be an appetizer bar of cheese, fruit and pastries, two tasting tickets and a souvenir wine tasting glasses. Extra taste ticket is $; on-site bottle sales will also be available.
Featured wines include Chateau Grand Traverse Winery’s NV Cherry Reserve Port andWarm Spiced Cherry Wine, Tabor Hill’s Lake Michigan Shore Cabernet Franc Port and ‘2007 Ice Wine Vidal Blanc, St. Julian’s award winning Solara Cream Sherry and Founders Pride Dessert Wine and White Pine’s Ice Wine, Round Barn Black Current Dessert Wine and Lemon Creek ‘07 Snow Moon Ice Wines and Silver Beach Sauterne.
