CASSOPOLIS — The Brandywine wrestling team cruised to a 54-15 victory over Cassopolis and the Bobcats’ Chanc Ravish tied the school with the 119th pin of his career Wednesday night.
The Bobcats raced out to a 26-0 lead after the first four matches and never looked back.
“We’ve got things to improve, but it was a good win. We locked up for the dual meet for the conference and now we’re just trying to fine tune things for a run at the end of the season,” Bobcat head coach Rex Pomranka said.
The bout of the night went to the 160-pound class where the Rangers’ Zack Newton defeated Vinny Sallee 8-7 in a bout that was decided with less than 10 seconds to go in the third round.
Ravish’s record-tying pin came 40 seconds into the first round in his match against David Sopaseuth.
