Died: Jan. 11, 2013

Arlene Mary Becerra, 47, of Dowagiac, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo.

Arlene was born July 28, 1965, in Watervliet, the daughter of Howard and Agatha (Williams) Daisy, both of whom precede her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by: a son, Albert Jr.; a sister, Karen Daisy; and two brothers, Howard Daisy Jr. and Jerry Daisy.

Arlene loved her family which consists of: her children, Barbara Daisy, Rosemary Daisy, Shelly Galvan, Adela Galvan, Alberto Galvan and Amanda Galvan; 18 grandchildren; and her sisters and brothers, Ernest Daisy, Bonnie Daisy, Judy Daisy-Sink, Shirley Gallegos, Terry Daisy and Francine Daisy.

She was most proud of her grandchildren and being a member of the Pokagon Band of Dowagiac.

Arlene liked to cook and enjoyed watching all the older movies and shows such as The Little House on the Prairie, The Andy Griffith Show, Rosanne and Cops.

As to Arlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her family.
