Rangers go 1-1 at Eau Claire tournament

EAU CLAIRE — The Cassopolis boys basketball team went 1-1 at the Eau Claire Holiday Tournament over the weekend.
The Rangers were defeated by the Kalamazoo Phoenix 83-68 Friday night, but rebounded to defeat Countrysicde 70-35 Saturday afternoon.
The Phoenix outscored the Rangers 68-56 over the final three quarters to advance to the championship game.
Robbie Saxton had a game-high 23 points to lead Cassopolis, which also got 15 points from Tyler Preston.
In the consolation game, the Rangers jumped out to a 27-3 lead after one quarter and never looked back in beating Countryside.
Prestly had a game-high 25 points for Cassopolis, which also got 10 points from Saxton.
