Believe all ‘ogre’ again

Everyone’s favorite swamp-dwelling ogre, Shrek, is coming to Michiana.
Based on the Oscar- winning DreamWorks film that started it all, “Shrek the Musical” brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to life on stage.
Tickets are now on sale for three performances at the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend, Ind. Show times are 8 p.m. Feb. 8 and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Feb. 9.
“Shrek The Musical,” tells the story of a swamp-dwelling ogre who goes on a life-changing adventure to reclaim the deed to his land. Joined by a wise-cracking donkey, this unlikely hero fights a fearsome dragon, rescues a feisty princess and learns that real friendship and true love aren’t only found in fairy tales.
Featuring a score of 19 all-new songs, big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery, WWOR-TV proclaims “Shrek the Musical,” as “far, far and away the funniest new musical on Broadway.”
Intended for children and adults of all ages, “Shrek the Musical” is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun.

Tickets are expected to go fast. Dinner show and ticket packages are also being offered for “Shrek the Musical.” You will be close to your seat at show time when you enjoy dinner before the show at the Morris Bistro Restaurant conveniently located within the Morris Center.
