Hootenanny hits Box Factory

A hootennany at the Box Factory for the Arts is 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The traditional folk sing-along will be led by Mockingbird musicians, John Tolhuizen and Pat and Paul Hanks. They will be joined by Joe Foster. Tickets are $10 general admission; $8 students and seniors; children 12 and younger admitted free. Box Factory is located at 1101 Broad St. in St. Joseph.
The concert will present a broad range of well-known and commonly performed folk songs from the folk era of 1951 to 1967.
Joe Foster is a folksinger, guitarist and song stylist known for his pleasant voice, sense of humor and wonderful renditions tunes by a variety of classic folk artists. Mockingbird builds original but recognizable arrangements based on strong lead vocals, rich harmonies and accomplished instrumentals, including acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keyboard and percussion.
