A Cassopolis man attempting to flee police Saturday jumped through the back window of a Cass County residence while holding an active one-pot meth lab.

Duane Glassco was later caught by Cass County police and lodged at the Cass County Jail. Another man, Michael Enboden, was also arrested and taken to the Cass County Jail during the same investigation of a residence in the 100 block of S. Disbrow St. in Cassopolis. Both are being held on $60,000 bond.

Both men were arraigned in Cass County District Court Monday and charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, operating and maintaining a lab involving methamphetamine, production of hazardous waste, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug house as an habitual offender fourth.

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team investigators began conducting an investigation into meth production at the location where at least two men were suspected of working together to manufacture meth. Detectives knocked on the door and Glassco, who was on parole at the time, jumped from a back window holding an active one-pot meth lab. Glassco was taken into custody by CCDET personnel and a Cassopolis Village police officer.

Enboden was located inside the residence. Detectives located meth-related components, methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia as well as at least one prior meth lab.
