Grammy-nominee Cathy Richardson, lead singer of Jefferson Starship and star of the off-Broadway hit “Love, Janis,” based on Janis Joplin’s life, will grace The Acorn Theater’s stage Friday. This intimate concert will open with husband-wife duo Johnny Irion and Sarah Lee Guthrie, the daughter of Arlo Guthrie. Legendary blues guitarist and producer Johnny Winter will play Club Fever Friday. Ranked No. 74 on Rolling Stone’s 2003 list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time,” Winter has received Grammy nominations for his albums and those he produced for blues group Muddy Waters. Spring Fling Wine & Art Festival

John Hosler with Mockingbird

Musician John Hosler will doo-wop and the band Mockingbird will provide the boogie for an acoustic concert at the Box Factory for the Arts Saturday. Hosler, the pastor at Napier Parkview Baptist Church in Benton Harbor, will provide one-liners and insights into his many years as pastor, theologian, author, university instructor and radio personality. Mockingbird, a “genre-busting” group, plays anything from island music to country to rock ‘n’ roll. Tickets are $10 adults, $8 for seniors and students and free for children under 12.
