Melissa Deuel of Niles is engaged to be married to Steven Sallee of Niles on Sept. 15, 2012, at Abundant Life Fellowship on Portage Road, South Bend, Ind.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Karen Tolliver. She is the granddaughter of the late Russell and Wanda Deuel and the late Henry and Wanetta Brodersen.
She graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 1996, majored in pre-nursing at Southwestern Michigan College and is a homemaker.
Parents of the prospective bridegroom are the late Sally Sallee and Taylor and Doris Sallee.
Mr. Sallee graduated from Brandywine High School in 1991 and is employed by AM General. The couple have a daughter, Rebekka Sallee.
