Cyndi Sine didn’t dream that relocating her salon one mile away could nearly triple her business.

Sine, who has owned Kutters Unlimited for three years, moved her salon Aug. 22 from a strip mall at 1221 S. 11^th St., Niles, to 904 E. Main St.

Sine says she believes the secrets to her salon’s success are customer service, continuing education, low prices and “location, location, location.”

“I really believe our prices are reasonable,” Sine said. “The girls that I have are really nice.

“The customers say, ‘Can we just come by and visit?’” she said.

Kutters’ success inspired Sine to buy a second salon, Just Teezn, at the former Classic Cuts location at 1717 Oak St., on March 16.

Sine said that for those familiar with Kutters’ services, Just Teezn is “exactly the same.”

The new salon will offer cuts, perms, color and highlights; hair extensions for ethnic and Caucasian hair; facial waxing; and a new deep-conditioning treatment called GK Hair that eliminates frizz for four to six months.

“People are going crazy for it,” Sine said.

Kutters has nine stylists, who will stay at the original location. Sine is hiring three new ones for Just Teezn.

After some minor renovations, Sine expects to open Just Teezn May 7.

Walk-ins and appointments are accepted at both salons.
