Mandy Munro, 33

Mandy Munro, 33, of South Bend, died at 10:55 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, unexpectedly.

Miss Munro was born Jan. 9, 1979, in Kalamazoo to James R. and Valorie (Kulis) Munro. Mandy graduated from Niles High School in 1997 and attended Depauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and Indiana University South Bend. In high school she was employed as a lifeguard at Orchard Hills Country Club in Niles, and later was employed at Pizza Hut and Family Video.

In high school, she loved to participate in all sports, especially basketball and softball. Mandy continued to play organized sports all of her life. She loved her family.

Miss Munro is survived by her children, Harmony R. and Sage Groves; her mother Valorie J. Munro, of Niles; father, James R. Munro, of Sutton’s Bay, Mich.; brother, Andrew Munro, of Niles; and grandmother, Leila F. Munro, of Sarasota, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lorraine Kulis, who died March 24, 2000; Renald Kulis, D.M.D., who died April 27, 2002; and James M. Munro, D.D.S., who died Nov. 29, 2004.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
