Jan. 14, 1963 — Feb. 21, 2012

Scott Parm, 49, of Niles, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 21, 2012.

Parm

Scott was born Jan. 14, 1963, in Madison, Wis., to Gertrude Parm of Niles and the late Willie Parm of Buchanan. He was the eldest of five children.

Scott graduated from Galien High School in 1982.

Scott was a devoted Catholic; he was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Niles. Scott loved shooting darts and all types of music, “The Three Stooges,” all types of board games and being with his friends and family. Scott liked roller skating, bowling and tolerated playing pool with his younger brothers. Growing up with four siblings they were always playing ball or any outside activity to keep them out of trouble; Scott was always their mentor. He was a very loving and caring person to all. He did volunteer work for the elderly in the community and he loved being surrounded with friends and family. Scott was an avid card player, especially with his mother; Skip-Bo was always a fun but competitive game in their home. Scott was caregiver to his mother for several years. Scott was a longtime employee at Shelton’s Farm Market in Niles.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Scott is survived by his mother, Gertrude Parm of Niles; siblings, Mike (Jodie) Parm of Elkhart, Ind., Sheila (fiance Chris Kidd) Mark of Sturgis, Wis., Ken (Kris) Parm of Pulaski, Wis., and Timothy Parm of Green Bay, Wis.; nieces and nephews, Devon, Dylan, Kyle, Keith, Kory, Jaymi and Andrea.

He will be deeply missed by all. His laughter and innocence will forever remain in our hearts.

Memorial donations may be made in Scott’s memory to the American Cancer Society.

Services to honor Scott’s life will be held Friday, Feb. 24, at 12:30 p.m. with a time of visitation two hours prior at Brown Funeral Home 521 E. Main St., Niles.
