Clayton Nolan Jr., 52
Jan. 26, 1960 — Feb. 15, 2012
Clayton Paul Nolan Jr., 52, of Niles, passed away at the Hospice House of South Bend on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, with his family and friends by his side.
Clayton was born Jan. 26, 1960, to Clayton Sr. and Norma (McBain) Nolan in Niles.
After graduating high school Clayton attended college and became a maintenance technician. Clayton was fondly known by his friends as “Punk.” On March 18, 1995, Clayton wed the love of his life, Patricia Cook, at a ceremony in Dowagiac. Together they raised four children.
Saying that Clayton loved to hunt and fish is an understatement. He spent his free time hunting for anything that was in season, but he was never alone. He passed that love for nature on to his children and all of his friends; he was happiest when he could go up north with his wife and friends and spend countless hours in the outdoors with them. Clayton was always helping people out, no questions asked. If you needed anything, Clayton was your guy. He could fix it, hunt it or get you to the person that could. Clayton was currently a maintenance technician at Pyrimid Equipment in Rolling Prairie, Ind.
Clayton is preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Nolan.
He is survived by his parents; loving wife, Patty; sons, Chad Nolan, of Missouri, Chris (Michelle) Anderson, of Niles, and Justin (Kathleen) Landis, of Niles; six grandchildren; and brother, Tim (Pam) Nolan, of Sumnerville.
A visitation to celebrate Clayton’s life will be held Monday, Feb. 20, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles from 11 a.m. to 1 p. m.
