The Berrien County Board of Commissioners has vacancies for a number of boards.

• The Mental Health Authority has three positions for volunteers. It is made up of a representation of providers of mental health services, recipients or primary consumers of mental health services, agencies and occupations having a working involvement with mental health services and the general public.  The term is for three years and the meetings are mostly held on the third Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. Meetings are held at 1485 M-139 in Benton Harbor.

• The Planning Commission has one vacancy with a term expiring December 31, 2014.  The Planning Commission makes recommendations relating to the effective economic, social, and physical growth and development of Berrien County.  The Commission reviews all local master plans and makes recommendations on township re-zonings.  The meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 2:30 p.m.
