Be informed in the next Niles Township election

Dear editor:
Once again the controversial spotlight has been on Niles Township.
In the past, when dealing with employee issues, especially in the public sector, the leadership was discreet and worked out a solution among the parties. But now it’s being done in the public claiming it to be transparency when, in reality, it is nothing more than a witch hunt to destroy someone’s reputation and in a manner that is vindictive, vicious, revengeful and plain mean-spirited.
The township has been faced with controversy as a result of one small, well-organized group of people since the police department began dissolving.
That group has driven their agenda relentlessly and it will not stop until they take over full leadership of the township. That was evident during the last election and fortunately most of them lost.
This year may be more of the same. Recently what is happening at the township is not about right or wrong, it’s about handling things in the wrong way. It does not benefit the public in any way except to gain political advantage. That is not the kind of leadership I want or need.
I urge voters to be leery and vote informed in the primary and general elections.
