Buchanan district needs bond to stay competitive

Dear editor:

A very important Buchanan school bond proposal will be coming up for a vote soon Feb. 28.

As I stated before, we now have School of Choice in Michigan; Buchanan is in competition with all of the area schools. While some Buchanan students are attending other schools in the area, Buchanan schools are holding their own by attracting students from other areas.

However, to stay in competition, it is imperative that Buchanan keeps its facilities upgraded. Its bond proposal is a small price to pay to save our school district and the city of Buchanan.

As goes our schools so goes our city. If our schools fail so will Buchanan.

I urge you to vote “yes” on Feb. 28.
