Niles freshmen rally for victory

The Niles freshmen boys basketball team rallied from a 21-point halftime deficit to defeat St. Joseph 50-45 Thursday night.
The Vikings trailed the Bears 30-9 at halftime, but outscored St. Joseph 41-15 in the second half to pull out the victory.
Niles (7-6) scored 25 points in the final eight minutes, including a clutch 3-pointer by Gabe Stokes to put the Vikings ahead. Stokes finished with 10 points.
Ra’Quon Glenn led Niles with 19 points, including 17 in the second half. He also had five steals.
David Kennedy finished the night with six points, eight rebounds and four steals.
JV basketball
The Niles JV boys basketball team came up a bit short Thursday night as host St. Joseph escaped with a 47-42 victory.
Cole Clemens led the Vikings with 13 points. Jeremy Wortham added eight points and nine rebounds. Tate Brawley grabbed five caroms.
