The Michigan Department of Transportation has once again updated information about the safety of 4,396 state highway bridges on the MDOT website.
The report is available at michigan.gov/highwaybridgereport.
Of the 4,396 bridges, 299 are classified as “structurally deficient,” meaning they may require rehabilitation or replacement. There are 977 labeled “functionally obsolete,” meaning their designs are outdated and may require modernization.
