Mary Ann Gentry, 48, of Chamberlain Road, Buchanan, died at 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, following an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 2, 1963, in Watervliet to Wesley Carlyle and Carolyn Lee (Hayes) Carlyle. She attended Blossomland Learning Center and lived in this area all of her life.

She was employed at Gateway, Inc. She was previously employed at Pizza Hut in Buchanan. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially making bead jewelry and crocheting, but most of all enjoyed caring for her family.

She married Michael S. Gentry on Feb. 7, 1989, in Benton Harbor. He survives. She is also survived by her sisters, Pauline (Bruce) Riley of Commerce, Mich., Laura Carlyle of Berrien Center, Carolyn (James) Goben of Benton Harbor and Theresia (Michael) Ross of Berrien Center; brothers, Wesley (Cheryl) Carlyle of Coloma and Gilbert Carlyle of Berrien Center; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral serivces will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with Evangelist Charles Ishmael of Watervliet officiating.

Friends may call beginning ta 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
