Harriet Marie (Pedersen) Bradish, 95, of Niles, passed away at Silverbrook Manor in Niles Monday,
Jan. 2, 2012.
Harriet was born June 10, 1916, to the late Lauritz and Ruby (Wright) Pedersen.
After graduating High School, Harriet wed Donald Bradish on Sept. 22, 1943, at a ceremony at Langly Air Force Base in North Carolina. Together they had one son, William.
Harriet was a secretary for the Niles Public School System for 13 years retiring in 1978. Harriet was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Niles Chapter of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed ceramics, a gifted seamstress and musician, collecting Betty Boop memorabilia and classic movies.
She also loved spending time on Barron Lake.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; two brothers, George and Phil Pedersen; and a sister, Marian Vanderham.
Harriet is survived by her son, William “Bill” Bradish of Elkhart, Ind.; brother, Raymond “Pete” Pedersen of Niles; sister, Marcia Knapp of Mesa, Arizona; sister-in-law, Mary Pedersen of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Harriet were held at Brown Funeral Home Friday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior. Pastor Ed Slate officiated. An interment followed at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made in Harriet’s memory to Wesley United Methodist Church.
