Robert Joseph Lanners, 54, of Edwardsburg, passed on Dec. 24, 2011, at his home.
Robert was born March 7, 1957, in Chicago, and lived in this area the past few years. He was the son of Robert Joseph Sr. and Sharon (Coats) Lanners. He had worked in sheet metal.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Harris-Lanners; two sons, Steven Joseph of St. Petersburg and Michael Robert of Midlothan, Ill.; stepson, Cedric Harris of Joliet; two grand children; and three sisters, Linda (Darryl) Luka of Rolling Meadows, Ill., Diane (Ken) Lenegir of Edwardsburg and Sharon (Robert) Dutko of Calumet City.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. at Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home, 26863 W. Main St., Edwardsburg.
Friends and family may gather for one hour before services. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
