Round Barn Winery, Brewery and Distillery is gearing up for the holidays with its annual Holiday Open House and Noir Nouveau release from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 3, when guests will meet-and-greet the Man in Red while sipping on seasonal cheer.
Plus, be the first to sample the Noir Nouveau wine release from this year’s harvest.
Kids can decorate cookies and make ornaments along with a visit on Santa’s lap. Wine tasting available all day, plus beer by the glass or try a holiday-inspired DiVine cocktail.
Round Barn’s brewer, Chris Moersch, will share his latest masterpiece, the Co-Co Cognac Stout.
“It’s our Cocoa Stout aged 3 months in our own brandy/cognac barrels,” Moersch said.
“It’s creamy, with chocolate, espresso and vanilla notes. It will keep you warm on the way down.”
He will also be featuring his newest rye beer, “Rye if you want to.”
“It’s a brown rye ale with with a hint of spicy hop character on the finish — perfect for pairing with ham or aromatic herb stuffing,” Moersch said.
Finally, the highlight of the open house is the release of this year’s Noir Nouveau wine.
The young, fruity wine is produced from this year’s harvest and is intended to consume now rather than shelving in the cellar for years.
