Drafted! 4-H Club of Cass County will host a holiday pet/child photography session at the Tractor Supply Co. store in Niles on Dec. 3 and Dec. 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. and then from 1 to 3 p.m.
On Dec. 4 and Dec. 18, the photo session will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring pets or children to have pictures taken for the holidays.
Cost is a donation of unopened pet food for the Cass and Berrien county animal shelters.
“It’s a great way for a small club like ours to have fun and involve the community in doing a good deed — a win-win situation for everyone involved,” said Tim Wallace, assistant leader of the Drafted! club.
“Pet owners will have a picture of their pet and/or kids to take home, the animal shelter will receive additional much-needed pet food and our members will have a lot of fun interacting with everyone who comes in and finds out that community service can be a lot of fun.”
Lorenne Towne, of Countryside Photography, will be the person behind the camera.
She “has it on good authority that some of the club members may be dressed as elves, which lends credence to the rumor that Santa may be on hand to pose with the pets and kids and hear their special wish lists.”
