Junior Naturalist Club
10 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 19
A special club for kids ages 7 to 12 who are interested in nature. Find out what it means to be a naturalist and find out about the animals of Sarett. The club will also will meet Dec. 17, Jan. 21, Feb. 18, March 17, April 21 and May 19. Fee is $35 per student. Call (269) 927-4832 to register.
Nature book sale
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 19
and 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 20
Donate gently used nature books for this event.Books can be field guides, travel guides, informational books, nature adventure books, hard or soft cover or children’s books. No magazines. Books can be dropped off at the nature center anytime.
Galapagos Islands

Ever wonder what it’s like to live on a remote volcanic island, with marine iguanas and blue-footed boobies for neighbors? Join Libby Megna (past Sarett naturalist and volunteer) tells the story of her research expedition to the Galapagos Islands in May.
Hunters of the sky
3 p.m. Nov. 20
Four raptors — a great horned owl, turkey vulture, a bald eagle and a flying red-tailed hawk — will visit Sarett to demonstrate their survival characteristics and techniques. Hands-on explorations of feathers, skulls and other bird parts provide a stimulating introduction to raptors presented by Francie Krawcke from the Leslie Science and Nature Center. $5/adult, $2/kid $2/member, member kids/free. Ohio revisited

Join Sarett naturalists as they recap their recent trip to southern Ohio for the fall color. Learn about the scenic byways, Hocking Hills State Park, caves and cliffs.
