Peter Lee “Pete” Coleman, 50, of Calvin Street, Union, died at 10:51 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at his home unexpectedly.
He was born June 22, 1961, in Niles to Arthur Paul Coleman and Mary Ann (Frame) Coleman. He graduated from Niles High School and lived in this area all his life.
Pete was a self-employed carpenter. He was formerly employed at Ironwood Displays. He was raised in the Catholic Church. He enjoyed working in his woodshop at home and entertaining friends.
Surviving family includes his son, Matthew; daughter, Stephanie; mother, Mary Ann Coleman, Niles; brothers, Joe Coleman, Niles, Jack (Mary) Coleman, Niles, and Bill (Cindy) Coleman, Niles; sisters, Kristine Knoblaugh, Rochester, Mich., Carol Coleman, Rochester Hills, Mich.; five nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Paul Coleman, who died in 1994.
The family is gathering privately for services with the Rev. Thomas King, C.S.C., of St. Mark Catholic Church.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements were made by Halbritter Funeral Home of Niles.
Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice of the donor’s choice because of the care provided for Pete’s father.
