To the editor:
Last Sunday afternoon my wife and I went to Beckwith Theatre to see the play “Southern Comforts.” It was performed by just two people, Paul and Karen Pugh, who are two of the many local actors of the Beckwith. They did a wonderful presentation of a married couple and how the marriage came about. The play will be on three more times, Nov. 4, 5 and 6. I hope a lot of folks will take advantage of seeing these two fine actors.
By the way, I want to think I may have had something to do with the St. Louis Cardinals winning the World Series, as I had dug out my old number 25 Mark McGwire T-shirt that I wore each day the Cardinals and Rangers played.
Now that I am no longer able to go see our great winning Dowagiac football team, I have to listen on the radio to Pat (my barber) Bakeman and his partner broadcast it. All I can say is GO CHIEFS.
