Physician assistant joins family clinic

CASSOPOLIS — Rebecca Kelln has joined the medical staff of Cassopolis Family Clinic, a Community Health Center serving Cass and southeast Berrien counties.
She joins doctors Lori Checkley, John Foster, Stephen Miller, Neil See and Wendy Steinkraus, family nurse practitioner, in providing medical care for patients of all ages.
Kelln received a bachelor’s degree of science in dietetics and a master’s degree of science in human nutrition from Andrews University, Berrien Springs.
After a successful career in pediatric nutrition, she pursued a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Union College, Lincoln, Neb., graduating in 2011.
She is board-certified as a physician assistant.
Kelln, originally from Utah, has worked extensively as a dietitian in the Michiana area, specializing in pediatrics.
“Mahatma Gandhi said, ‘It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver,'” Kelln said.
“I encourage my patients to be active participants in their health care.”
