To the editor:

We raised more than $5,0000 for Cass County Cancer Service and could not have done it without our community support.
We know that not only individuals but businesses have been affected by the economic situation.
It meant a lot to me to get the support that we did when we went knocking.
So, a big thanks to: Lyons Industries, Ameriwood Industries, Imperial Furniture, Barry’s Automotive, Dowagiac Conservation Club, 1st Choice Automotive, Caruso Candy Kitchen, Ridge, The Manor, Hales Hardware, Burling and Gillesby, D.D.S., PC, Smoke Vision Care, D&R Sports, Little Caesars Pizza, Porky’s, Zimmey’s, Rise N Shine Cafe, Spa-Toe-Pia, Namaste, Benny’s Barber Shope, Harding’s Dowagiac and Niles, John and Curt Brake and Alignment, plus all the individuals that made donations.
Then to the best group to work with that pulled this event together and gave of themselves above and beyond.
Rick and Nance Myers, the food was wonderful, Rick and Matt Krizinski for working the group all night.
Cindy Underwood, Deb Rohdy, Jo Krizinski, Cathy Merrill, Judy Simpson, Maxine Ownby, Linda Minnix, Loretta Freshour, Sue Toth, Ray and Zana Klomes. Plus, our spouses who support us and help us.
We cannot forget the volunteers with Cass County Cancer Service and the great desserts that they provided.
But most important are all of you who bought tickets and especially those who came to our event.
We want you to know how much we appreciate your support and hope you enjoyed the evening.
Know that each of you have helped Cass County Cancer Service be able to help our family, friends and neighbors.
That is the reason we choose to have this event. All of the money stays here in our county.
Cass County Cancer Service is an all-volunteer organization and they are always looking for more volunteers so if you find that you would like to get involved, contact Maxine Ownby at (269) 782-2033.
I cannot forget one last thank you. John Eby, you are the best!
