Jane A. Botts (Barnes), 88, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 17, at Hospice House after a long and strong, brave fight with cancer. She was surrounded by

love and Jesus for her journey to heaven.
Jane was born Nov. 4, 1922, in Lima, Ohio, to her parents Ross and Dorothy Barnes. Jane married Darrell Botts on Nov. 2, 1942, and Darrell preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1996. He was a World War II veteran and paratrooper, 11th Airborne.   Jane was a talented artist and very proud of her accomplishments.
Jane was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Sandra Lee Botts Davis (Pat) on May 29, 2008, infant daughter Judith Ann and infant son Gary Lynn.
Mrs. Botts is survived by her children, Darrell Steven Botts of Ft Wayne and Susan Botts-Flowers (Paul) of Niles, MI; her brother John Ross Barnes (Patricia);  grandchildren Jeffrey A. Wise (Catherine), Lisa Wise-Shauver (Brian), William Darrell Wise (Stephanie), Ryan Paul Flowers (Brooke), April Flowers-Stuart (Scott) and Heather Davis-Clanche (Jordan); her sons-in-law, Pat Davis and Dale Vincent; and over 15 great and great great grandchildren
The viewing for Jane A. Botts (Barnes) will be Friday Oct. 21, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the funeral  committal service to be held at 2:30 pm at Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, IN  46635.  Immediately following the service, a procession will lead to her final place of rest at Highland Cemetery for gravesite services.   A gathering to rejoice in honor of Jane will follow with food and refreshments.  Brice Bennett will be officiating the service. He is a second nephew to Jane and serves as an Army chaplin of the U.S. Navy.
