The Niles JV football team was blanked by visiting St. Joseph Thursday night 17-0.

The Vikings are now 2-4-2 on the season.

Ethan Mokwa, Gaige Nichols and David Kennedy all hauled in passes from Sean Craig, who was 4-of-8.

Jason Taylor had six tackles and a fumble recovery, while Balazs Bruckner finished with six tackles as well. Austin Weber contributed three tackles and a fumble recovery.

“There is not enough good things that we can say about our defense tonight,” Niles coach Josh Bourne said. “Other than about a nine or 10 minute stretch that resulted in a touchdown and a field goal, our defense played very tough.”

Niles will conclude its season at Portage Central Thursday night.
