Brandywine’s Breno Moreiro, a Brazilian foreign exchange student, and Niles’ Bridgett Carpenter have been named the Niles Daily Star Athletes of the Week, sponsored by TCU and Wings Etc.

Moreiro captured the No. 1 singles championship at the Lakeland Conference Tennis Tournament to help the Bobcats claim a share of the conference championship.

Carpenter, the defending Berrien County cross country champion, finished seventh Saturday at this year’s event.
