Brandywine Junior Journalism: Elementary earns another ‘A’

Brandywine Elementary has been the only school in the area to get an “A” on the annual
yearly progress three years in a row. The 2002-2003 Brandywine grade was a “C” 2003-2008 Brandywine’s grade was a “B” now 2008-2011 is an “A.” The annual yearly progress is a “report card” for all of the schools in Michigan.
The Brandywine Elementary open house was a success. It was held Sept. 8. At 7 p.m., Principal Tim Bagby called everybody who attended to the gym. There, he had a speech introducing all of the teachers to the parents. After the speech, the parents were free to roam and look at other classrooms as well as their own students’.
“The open house is mostly about coming to see teachers,” said computer teacher Char Everett, “and getting a feel for the new school year.
