Grove Park in Berrien Springs will host the 13th Annual Shady Grove Fiddle Fest Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine.
The Fiddle Fest, a celebration of local music and food, is home to various contests, workshops and concerts.
Performers at this year’s event include Red Tail Ring, Gravel Creek, Celtic Breeze and more.
There will be three workshops — fiddle, band and food.
The fiddle workshop is not only for pairing fiddlers, but for anyone who is interested in the instrument, the tunes or just music in general. The band workshop will provide guidance and advice on how to put together a band, jam and play together. Anyone who loves to eat good food is invited to participate in the food workshop. Topics will include where the food came from, how it was grown and more.
By connecting great music with local food, the Fiddle Fest is promoting a sustainable and vibrant food and farming system, said event organizer Jan Burda.
Organic and grass fed local burgers, grilled medley of vegetables, fresh sweet corn, local green beans, Berrien County fruit salad, home baked pie slices, hand-crafted smoothies, and locally filtered tap water will be available at the Shady Grove Fiddle Fest.
The Grove Park overlooks Lake Chapin, above the dam on the St. Joseph River. Free parking will be available for anyone who attends.
