William Thomas, 85

William W. (Bill) Thomas, 85, of Homosassa, Fla. (Sugarmill Woods), died Friday, May 20, 2011 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County.

Bill was born in Battle Creek, Mich. to William M. and Gladys M. (Conner) Thomas. He retired from Clark Equipment Credit Corp., Buchanan after 25 years of service. He attended Tri State College in Angola, Ind.; was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran; and a former member of Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club. He was of the Methodist faith.

Bill is survived by Pat, his wife of 58 years; son, Chris and daughter-in-law Pam Thomas of Niles; daughter, Nancy Thomas of Niles; sons, Stephen Thomas of Bradenton, Fla. and Michael Thomas of Fayetteville, Ga.; brother, Robin and sister-in-law Barbara Thomas of Crystal River, Fla.; sister, Winnie and brother-in-law John Keedy of Danville, Kent.; three grandchildren, Erica Thomas of Niles, Aaron Glossinger of Pennsylvania and Jody Glossinger of Maryland.

He was preceded in death by three sisters: Martha, Pat and Margaret.

Military graveside services will be held in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Citrus County.
