A body found by an angler in the St. Joseph River Sunday has been identified as 53-year-old Ray S. Moore of Elkhart.

Moore’s body was found in the river in Niles Township at about 4 p.m., according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

The detective bureau is working to identify the circumstances surrounding his death.
