Monday night Schoolcraft rode into town for a tennis battle with the Brandywine Bobcats at Plym Park.
Schoolcraft came away with solid wins in every singles match to earn the 8-0 non-conference victory. The Bobcats just couldn’t handle the strength of the Bulldogs.
At doubles it was more evenly matched with both teams coming away with two wins each.
The best match of the night was at number two doubles as Schoolcraft’s Shelby Dage-Rebekah DeWolf narrowly escaped with a win over Kelsey Prestly-Lena Miles 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.
“Schoolcraft is a solid team that has strength in singles and doubles,” Brandywine coach Joe Marazita said. “This is the caliber of competition we need as we enter the meat of our schedule and we should be at full strength tomorrow.”
