Michelle Hively, 61

Michelle M. Hively, 61, of Anderson Road, Niles, died at 6:29 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at her home following an extended illness.
She was born April 15, 1950 in Niles to John and Barbara (Archambeault) Skalla. She graduated from Niles High School in 1968 and was a lifetime resident of Niles. She was a senior sales director for Mary Kay of Dallas, Texas.
Michelle was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Niles. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
On Oct. 10, 1970 at St. Mary Catholic Church of Niles, she married Stanley B. Hively, who survives.
Surviving family also includes their son, Ryan F. Hively of Dowagiac; grandchildren, Alex and Alyssa Hively; her sisters, Kathy Sweeney of Buchanan and Dawn Hunerjager of Lawrence, Mich.; and brothers, Steven Skalla of Niles, Dan Skalla of Stowe, Ohio, Andrew Skalla of Dowagiac and David Skalla of Edwardsburg.
The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Michelle M. Hively will be celebrated at noon, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Niles, where the family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 11 a.m.
